Love Has Boundaries: Man Ensures That Wife Gets 18 -Month Sentence For ‘Staging’ N2m Robbery In Kano
A Kano- based businessman, Benefice, has shown that ‘love has boundaries’ by ensuring that his wife, Elizabeth Gift gets punished for staging a robbery scene.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that gift got an 18 –month sentence after she was brought before Halima Nasir of the magistrates’ court, Kano.
The prosecutor, Barrister Jamilu Abubakar disclosed that Gift’s husband had in April this year asked her to help him deposit N2,050,000 into his bank account.
She however returned home to inform Benefice that some people had robbed her of the money using weapons to threaten her.
He added that investigations showed however that the money was not taken from her and that she willingly gave it to some people to make more money for her.
Gift pleaded guilty and the Magistrate, Halima Nasir, gave her 18- month sentence and also ordered that she should make the N2,050,000 available to her husband.
The magistrate, however, gave her an option of fine and she has been asked to pay N50,000-Team@orientactualmags.com
