Man Shot Dead As Gunmen Abduct Filling Station Manager, CAC Pastor, Security Guard In Kwara

Chief Raphael Adewuyi , an indigene of Sabaja ,a suburb of Iwo, Isin local government, Kwara state , has  been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Raphael, who is based in Lagos state, was according to a source in Kwara state to attend the meeting of the Descendants Union.

It was gathered  that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers had carried out an attack in Iwo on Friday night  and had left with a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) pastor. The church had held a programme in the town which was attended by clerics from other towns.

However, on arrival at Sabaja at about 9pm,  they noticed that the filling station there was still open, and they stopped off to abduct the manager and the security guard.

While this was going on, Chief Raphael , whose house is located near the filling station, reportedly pointed flashlight at them from his room asking what was going on there and the gunmen had responded by firing shots and unfortunately a bullet him and he died.

Chairman of the Transition implementation Committee (TIC) , Isin local government, Engineer Tunde Fadipe, who confirmed the incident on Saturday , added that the Council in conjunction with the Police and other Security forces had since embarked on a search operation with a view to arresting the kidnappers and getting the abductees freed.

Spokesman for  the police in Kwara state, Okasanmi Ajayi , a Superintendent of Police,  has  also confirmed the incident .

‘3 people were abducted in Iwo on Friday while one man was hit by stray bullet in his house. We have sent our men and the vigilante members to go after the abductors and rescue the three people, but we are yet to record success. I’m sure that the three people are going to be rescued’ he said.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Team@orientactualmags.com on Saturday night that the kidnappers have gotten in touch with families of the victims, and they have demanded ten million naira as ransom-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
