Isese Day : Ogun Assembly Passes Resolution To Make August 20 ‘Free Day’

Ogun state House of Assembly, on Tuesday passed a resolution to make August 20 a free day in the state to mark the Isese Cultural Day.
Speaker Olakunle Oluomo presided over the plenary session during which the lawmakers passed the resolution, titled ‘H.R. No.008/OG/2023-Observtation of Isese Day as Free Day in Ogun state’.
The Assembly proposed the designation of every 20th of August as Isese-Cultural Day annually, adding that it should be declared as a free day in the state.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Majority Leader, Yusuf Sheriff moved the motion while it was seconded by the Minority Leader, Lukmon Adeleye.
The lawmakers said the resolution was aimed at propagating the rich culture and tradition of the people of the state, thereby preserving it for the coming generations. They also stated that the resolution would go a long way in boosting tourism and the uniqueness of the culture and tradition of the people.
