The Governor-elect of Osun state, former senator Ademola Adeleke, has said Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state will lose re-election next year like Governor Gboyega Oyetola had done in Osun state.
Ogun will according to him become a PDP-controlled state next year.
It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced former Senator Ademola Adeleke as winner of the gubernatorial election held in the state on July 16.
Adeleke was the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the said gubernatorial election while Oyetola was the APC guber candidate.
Giving his speech during the defection ceremony held for top politicians in the state who decamped to the PDP, Adeleke said Governor Dapo Abiodun would get the ‘Osun treatment’ next year.
Members of the ruling APC, Labour Party (LP), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) defected to the PDP during the event.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the Osun state Governor – elect , who was represented by the former South West Secretary of the party, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo, said PDP had exposed APC’s electoral fraud in Osun, promising that the winning strategy would be replicated in Ogun state.
‘Like we did in Osun, we are going to repeat the feat in Ogun state. We have exposed all their electoral fraud. We are bringing to Ogun state the winning strategy.
Because we have defeated them in Osun they are still embittered, they went to the Tribunal, but we will still defeat them again.
They did one thing that we are going to be ready for them in Ogun, they went and hacked the server. They are rogues, APC (members) are rogues, from head to toe and we are going to win them. We won them in Osun and we are going to win in Ogun state’ he said.
The Osun state Governor-elect also described the Ogun state PDP guber candidate, Hon Ladi Adebutu and his running mate, Adekunle Akinlade, as a perfect match capable of ousting the ruling APC from power.
Addressing party members and supporters and the defectors, Adebutu lamented worsening security situation , unemployment, bad roads, and lack of quality healthcare services in the state.
He described PDP as the biblical Noah’s ark that would take Ogun residents to the Promised Land in 2023 while promising the defectors equal treatment.
‘We all know that all is not well with governance in Ogun state. Don’t be deceived by this government, we are going to give them the Osun treatment’ Adebutu said.
‘Be assured that after sweeping for a long time, we are now under umbrella.
You won’t regret this. With this development, Dapo will be sacked in 2023’, a one-time Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, who is also a loyalist of Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Tola Banjo, said.
Banjo was one of the people that left APC for the PDP.
