My Husband‘ll Become Governor Of Bauchi Next Year- Humanitarian Affairs Minister

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, has expressed the hope that her husband, Abubakar  Sadique will become the governor of Bauchi state next year.,

The incumbent governor, former senator Bala Mohammed , who is the PDP gubernatorial candidate , is seeking re-election while  Sadiya’s husband, Sadique has gotten nominated  as candidate for the gubernatorial election by the APC.

Governor Bala Mohammed

Sadique  served as Nigeria’s Chief of Air Staff from July 13, 2015 to January 26, 2021.

The minister commented about  the Bauchi state  2023  gubernatorial election during an event held by  Bauchi indigenes and friends of the former Air Force chief at the  International Conference Centre , Abuja.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned Sadiyah made passing comments about  the Bauchi state  2023  gubernatorial election while giving her welcome speech.

She described  Sadique  as the best brother, husband and  a governor anybody can ever pray to have.

‘Sadique is the best brother, father and husband. I have no doubt that he will be the next and best governor of Bauchi state Insha Allah’ she said.

Sadiya , who was the  National Treasurer of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, is one of the influential members of the Federal Executive Council.

Retired Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar

Giving his remarks, Sadique , a retired Air Vice Marshal ,  thanked his wife, friends and former bosses  for  attending  the event.

He used the opportunity to expand on reasons for joining the Bauchi state 2023  gubernatorial  race and his plans to make Bauchi state a better place for the citizens.

‘We must collectively  work to reopen the gates of schools to students that have been denied opportunity to attend one. In Bauchi State alone, we have 1.4m out-of-school children.

Similarly, we have 1, 549 women who died for every 100,000 births in Bauchi. These statistics are very frightening. But I will continue to put in my best for my people and the state after spending over 42 years of service in the Air Force.

It is a call I cannot refuse in the light of the present situation of things in the state.

My family and I are deeply touched by the interest you have shown in my modest achievements as Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force and also as an ambassador of the Republic of Chad’ he said- Team@orientactualmags.com
