63rd Independence Day: Ibrahim Ajia Congratulates Nigerians, Urges Them To ‘Keep Hope Alive’

The President and Founder of MAI Foundation, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has said that the struggle for a better Nigeria continues, while noting that there is a need to address the ongoing challenges facing our beloved nation.

Ajia stated this in a congratulatory message to Nigerians on the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day on Sunday.

 Ajia in a statement issued in Abuja and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Director of Communications, Mr. Abdulrahman Aliagan  urged Nigerians to remain patient and resilient ‘as we navigate through these turbulent waters’.

‘As Nigeria celebrates its 63rd Independence Day, it is important to reflect on the progress made so far, while acknowledging that the struggle for a better Nigeria continues’ he said. 

Ajia , who acknowledged the fact that, Nigeria has come a long way since gaining independence in 1960, however noted that Nigerians cannot ignore the fact that ‘we still grapple with numerous challenges that have hindered our growth and development’. 

‘From inadequate healthcare and poorly- funded education systems to corruption and socioeconomic inequality, the struggle for a prosperous Nigeria continues. 

Undoubtedly, Nigerians are facing serious economic challenges which were made worse by rising exchange rates, fuel subsidy removal, dilapidated infrastructures, and other pressing issues. Our beloved nation is also grappling with the scourge of security challenges, including kidnappings, unknown gunmen attacks, banditry, and various other security concerns.

In these trying times, it is incumbent upon us, as Nigerians, to remain patient and resilient as we navigate through these turbulent waters’ he submitted.

Ajia has also called on Nigerians to remain united and steadfast in our pursuit of a brighter future.

‘While progress has been made in certain areas, it is imperative that we continue to fight for the eradication of poverty, unemployment, and social injustice. 

Commitment to justice and equality must remain unwavering, and it is through collective efforts that we can bring about a meaningful change.

Let us remember the sacrifices of our founding fathers that fought tirelessly for our independence. Their unwavering commitment and determination laid the foundation for a free Nigeria. We must embrace their vision as we strive towards a better tomorrow’ he added.

The security expert also urged government at all levels to prioritize the needs and aspirations of Nigerians.

‘Investing in key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and job creation will undoubtedly propel our nation forward.

Additionally, policies aimed at combating corruption, promoting transparency, and empowering our citizens are important and doing this would help in building a strong and prosperous Nigeria.

As we commemorate this milestone, let us not only celebrate our achievements but also reflect on the challenges that lie ahead. The struggle for a better Nigeria continues, and we must remain resolute in our determination to overcome them. This day serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to leave a legacy for future generations – a Nigeria that embodies unity, progress, and social justice’ he said
