63rd Independence Day: Gov Nasiru Idris Congratulates Nigerians, Urges Them To Sustain Vision Of Founding Fathers
Governor Nasiru Idris , who is the Kauran Gwandu, has urged citizens and residents of Kebbi state and other Nigerians to have a renewed faith and pray for a greater nation with economic prosperity.
‘Nigeria belongs to all of us irrespective of political, religious, cultural or ethnic differences.
We have no other country, but Nigeria and we must strive to ensure her even socio-economic development’ Governor Idris submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki on Sunday.
Governor Idris noted that Nigerians have a lot to cherish and appreciate as the country has been on a trajectory of growth from 1960 to date.
The governor also said Nigeria and all the Federating units have recorded myriad of achievements from 1960 to date adding that more are still coming.
According to Dr Idris, Nigerians must keep the flag flying and sustain the sound thinking, vision and mission of the nation’s founding fathers.
The former NUT President and veteran labour leader, restated the commitment of the APC-led Federal Government and his administration to building on the legacies of the founding fathers of our country.
‘I can happily recall that Nigeria has been steadily and successfully trudging on the democratic train from 1999 to date.
I am assuring Nigerians that there will be light at the end of the tunnel as all hands are on deck to deliver more dividends of democracy to them.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the APC governors will continue to implement more people-oriented programmes and policies.
All the leaders, though, need sustained fervent prayers for guidance and protection for them to do more to better the lives of the citizens’ the Kauran Gwandu, added.
