Saraki Visits Families Of Late Deji Oni, Basirat Mohammed, Oyinloye In Ilorin, Esie, Omu-Aran

President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has visited the family of late Prince Oyedeji Oni Philips aka Oni of Kay, and he has during the visit announced scholarship for one of his children. 

 A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by Saraki’s Press Officer on Local Matters, Mr  Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir noted that the former senate president paid a condolence visit to  the Oni  family at the deceased politician’s  Ilorin residence on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Saraki described the late Prince Oni as a loyal, dedicated, and resourceful figure to the  PDP in Oke-Ero LGA.

He sympathized with his wife, children, and the entire Oni family, assuring them of his support always.

The  deceased politician’s elder brother , Mr Oni, who spoke on behalf of the family , appreciated the Saraki political family for their support while he was indisposed and even after his death.

Saraki also visited the Elesie of Esie, Oba Yakubu Agboola Babalola, to commiserate with him over the demise of his daughter, Princess Basirat Babalola Mohammed, a former Chairperson of Irepodun LGA, and a strong member of the PDP family in Kwara state.

He condoled with the Esie  monarch and the royal family, over the passing of the princess, who according to him, contributed hugely to the political family while she was alive. 

‘I pray again that may Allah grant her Aljanah firdaus and may everything she has left behind continue to blossom’ he said.

The Elesie of Esie appreciated Saraki and his political family for the visit while hailing him for being there for the people at all times. 

‘I am thanking you because you are a leader who doesn’t forget his people, not even in death. We are grateful for your calls, the delegation you sent, and the support at all times’ he said. 

The traditional ruler thereafter asked the Chief Imam of Esie, Alhaji Imam Mufutau Yusuf, to specially pray for the former Senate President.

 Saraki also  visited the family of another  Kwara state PDP big wig, the late Alhaji Olaniyi Yusuf (Honeymoon) in Ilofa, Oke-Ero LGA.

Dr. Saraki, who arrived at the family compound in company of party elders, prayed for the deceased politician  and the family and assured them of his continued support.

Earlier, Saraki had  joined the Muslim faithful at Ilofa Central Mosque, Oke-Ero LGA, to perform the two- rakah Jumah prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ilofa, Alhaji Sulyman Babatunde Imam.

Saraki also visited the Eesa of Omuaran, High Chief Adekunle Abdulrazaq Oyinloye to commiserate with him over the passing of his father in Omuaran, Irelodun LGA. 

‘We thank God that Baba lived a long and fulfilled life’ Saraki said.
