Ex-Gov El-Rufai Announces Formation Of New Company, Says Jimi Lawal, Hafiz Bayero, 2 Others Are Founding Directors, Initial Shareholders
Former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has announced the formation of a new company, Afri-Venture Capital Company Ltd, which will according to him begin operations next month.
El-Rufai , who is currently not a public office holder and therefore free to establish a private company, noted that Jimi Lawal, Hafiz Bayero, Eyo Ekpo and Kabir Yabo are founding directors and initial shareholders.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Elrufai, who disclosed this on X on Monday, also talked about the company’s vision statement.

‘MONDAY ANNOUNCEMENT: I can confirm that our VC-PE firm, Afri-Venture Capital Company Ltd will by the Grace of God, begin operations initially in Abuja in January 2024 with Jimi Lawal, Hafiz Bayero, Eyo Ekpo and Kabir Yabo as founding directors and initial shareholders.

Elrufai , a one -time FCT minister, was among the 48 individuals nominated as ministers by President Bola Tinubu a few weeks ago, and though confirmation hearings were held for them, the senate however refused to confirm the former Kaduna state governor and two others; Stella Okotete (Delta state) and Danladi Umar (Taraba state).
