Gov Idris  Inspects  Intracity Road Projects In  Birnin Kebbi

Kebbi state governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris,  the Kauran Gwandu, has described the ongoing  township road projects in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital , as ‘legacy’ projects and the pride of all Kebbi  state people .

The governor noted that  the Kebbi state  people are proud of the projects in question  cognizant that  Birnin Kebbi,  is the state capital and  the face of the state.

The governor however assured that his administration would extend similar developmental projects to the other Emirates including Yauri, Zuru and Argungu in line with the policy thrust of his administration.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by Dr Idris’ Special Adviser on Media,  Mr Yahaya Sarki  noted that the governor said this on Friday while inspecting the ongoing intracity road projects in Gwadagaji area  of Birnin Kebbi.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality and speed of the project ,commending the state Ministry of Works and the contractor handling the projects.

On KoKo – Zuru road, Governor Idris restated  his concern over the deplorable condition of the road and expressed readiness of his administration to reconstruct the road with the permission of the Federal Government .

 He added that adequate provision has been made for the  construction of the road in the budget. 

The governor also announced that the state government will soon embark on the reconstruction of the central motor park in Birnin Kebbi and also carry out  the construction of new mega schools in the four Emirates of the state in collaboration with the State Universal Basic Education Board.  He gave the project cost as N5 billion

He promised that by the grace of God , people of Kebbi state will feel the impact of good governance within  two to three years.

Idris thanked the people of the state for their sustained love and fervent prayers during  his election case, noting  that his victories at the Tribunal and Appeal Court  were a testimony that people of Kebbi state were with him all along.
