Ladi Adebutu Visits Police Headquarters In Abeokuta, Says Money Laundering Allegations ‘Untrue’

Hon Ladi Adebutu, who was the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the governorship election held in Ogun state on March 18, 2023, visited the  headquarters of the Ogun state  Police  command,  Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Wednesday.

The former federal lawmaker,  who left the country  six months ago , had returned from the United Kingdom earlier this week .

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that he arrived at the police headquarters at about  11 am to answer questions with respect to allegations by the state APC that he bought votes with preloaded ATM cards during the  guber election in question.

Recall that the  state APC Chairman, Yemi Sanusi, had petitioned the police, accusing Adebutu and other PDP members of vote buying.

He has however denied the money laundering and vote buying allegations.

‘I have come and I’m happy that this institution has done well, they have listened, they have taken records and I’m sure that this is the way to a better Nigeria.

The frivolous allegations that Ladi Adebutu has been laundering his money, I don’t know how you can launder your personal wealth, that is the allegation against me by the APC; that I have laundered my money, that I have used my money to create empowerment for people that I feel compassionate about Nigerians that are in need, that I have helped but they should note, I will continue to help.

 It was a dictate by my late mother to be of help to women and children. We have done empowerment programmes and we will continue to do them. By January 19th, 2024, which marks one year of her passing, we will be having special programmes again to continue these empowerment programmes as we have done over years.
