29-Year-Old Woman, Hotelier Arrested In Connection With Death Of Akure Socialite

Two people including a 29-year-old woman, have been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Ondo state.

 They were arrested in connection with the death of an Akure -based socialite, Oladoyinbo Sunday, who was popularly called ‘Saibayo’.

 Recall that Saibayo was found dead in his car at Ijapo Estate , Akure,  Ondo state capital, on December 10, 2023.

 Team@orientactualmags.com learned that one of the two suspects; Atinuke Adeniyi, 29 years, was Sunday’s girlfriend and she was with him before he died while the second suspect is 50-year-old  Adeojo Ilesanmi, a hotelier.

Spokesperson for the police in the state, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami  said in a statement on Saturday that the suspects were arrested through intelligence gathering by the state command.

‘The SWAT team through intelligence-led policing apprehended one Atinuke Adeniyi aged 29 years who claimed she and the deceased socialite were involved in a romantic affair and that on the day before the corpse was dumped, she and Sunday had sex in a brothel in Ijapo, after which he started convulsing and out of fear, she abandoned him and quietly left the room.

The suspect led the police team to the brothel where one Adeojo Ilesanmi aged 50 years, the owner of the brothel, was arrested. He confessed to having taken the corpse to the scene where it was found with claims that he was afraid when he realized that the deceased socialite had died in his brothel’ the statement said.
