Adesina served as Buhari’s spokesman from 2015 to 2023.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the book launch which was held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, was the first public event former president Buhari will attend in Abuja since he left office on May 29, 2023.
Tinubu, Buhari and Osinbajo also made their first joint appearance at the event.
Buhari, who served as the nation’s president from 2015 to 2023, handed over to President Tinubu on May 29, 2023.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who was also the Vice President between 2015 and 2023, had sought to succeed the retired General but however failed to secure the APC presidential nomination.
Recall that the APC presidential primary election held in Abuja on June 8 2022 , had Tinubu and Osinbajo among the contestants.
While Tinubu , who got the APC presidential nomination and eventually won the presidential election held on February 25 , 2023 , got 1,271 votes, Osinbajo had 235 votes.
Giving his speech at the book launch in Abuja on Tuesday, Buhari said he remains committed to the President Bola Tinubu administration, and his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
President Bola Tinubu has also disclosed that his immediate predecessor hasn’t interfered in his administration since he became the nation’s new leader in 2023.
‘After handing over, you (Buhari) said, ‘I will be far away in Daura but if you need me, contact me. I won’t intrude on whatever you are doing. I won’t interfere. I won’t breathe down on your throat’ he said while adding that rather than interfering , Buhari has instead partnered with him to make democracy flourish in the country.
‘We’ve partnered to make democracy flourish in Nigeria, thank you.
Except when I call him (on the phone) to say, ‘Are you at home, are you going to the farm?’, you don’t hear from him (Buhari) either to nominate or intrude in the cabinet or complain about issues. Thank you for being who you are’ he said.
President Tinubu has also restated his commitment to resolving challenges that have remained unresolved while promising to end insecurity in the country.
‘President Buhari assumed office at a very difficult period of our national life when the economy was spiraling into recession and Boko Haram had taken over swaths of our territory in North East. At a point it appeared even Abuja, the seat of government would fall into the hands of Boko Haram with the bombing of the UN Building, Banex Plaza, Nyanya and other locations within the Federal Capital Territory.
We cannot easily forget how our armed forces battled the Boko Haram terrorists under President Buhari’s leadership to reclaim our territory and push them to the fringes of Lake Chad where they no longer pose an existential threat to our sovereignty.
I must say the job of securing every inch of our country is yet to be finished. My government will stamp out the remaining vestiges of Boko Haram, Ansaru, banditry and kidnapping gangs. We won’t rest until every agent of darkness is completely rooted out’ President Tinubu added.
President Tinubu also talked about inheriting assets and liabilities.
‘When you left the office, you left many battles and a bunch of tasks for me for continuity.
And I told people I inherited the assets and liabilities of my predecessor, no matter what you say.
We always joke sometimes, and you say you can never please Nigerians, but yours is to focus, work hard, and satisfy your conscience. You have done that. It is reflected’ he submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com
