Gov Idris Pays Unscheduled Visit To Kalgo Medical Centre, Says Casual Employment Already Phased Out In Kebbi
The Kebbi state Government has taken steps to phase out casual employment and make all civil servants in the state be in full employment, a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Governor Nasir Idris’ Special Adviser, Mr. Yahaya Sarki , said on Tuesday.

The statement noted that the governor said this when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Kebbi Medical Centre, Kalgo.
He further announced that the government would look into the possibility of absorbing the existing casual staff into permanent appointment after reappraisal by a committee to be set up by the state government.
Governor Idris, who is the Kauran Gwandu, expressed concern over the condition of the hospital while being conducted round the facility by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Nura Kangiwa who told him about the challenges being faced by the health centre.
He gave an assurance that the State Government would look into the request made by the hospital management team, restating the commitment of his administration to rehabilitating existing hospitals in the state as well as employing more doctors and nurses to address the shortage of manpower at health institutions in the state.
The governor had earlier paid a sympathy visit to the Abdullahi Fodio College, Birnin Kebbi where one of the student hostels was gutted by fire recently.
