We Need To ‘Relook’ Kano Emirate Issues And Do The Needful- Kwankwaso

A prominent politician in the country, who had recently regained his position as political godfather in Kano state, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has made a disclosure that would definitely unsettle the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje and those who had at different times taken decisions and steps to alter things in the Kano Emirate Council.
.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Kwankwaso, a former senator, a one-time Defence minister and a former governor of Kano state, has disclosed that the current administration in the state headed by Governor Abba Yusuf will revisit matters that have to do with the Kano Emirate Council.
Recall that Alhaji Ganduje had in his eight years as governor did a lot of things that had influenced the course of history especially when it comes to chieftaincy matters.
Recall that in 2019, the House of Assembly had approved the creation of four additional emirate councils, bringing the number of First-Class Emirs in the state to five.
The new councils are Gaya; Karaye, Rano, Bichi and the old Kano Emirate Council.
Apart from creating new emirate councils, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, a former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, was also removed as Emir of Kano in March 2020 .
Kano state House of Assembly had also earlier passed the Kano Emirate Council Amendment Bill, 2019 into Law during the plenary session presided over by Speaker Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
Speaking during an interview with some radio stations in Kano on Thursday night, Kwankwaso said issues that have to do with the Kano emirate council will be revisited.
‘Honestly it (the Kano Emirate issue) is one of the things that nobody has sat with me to discuss so far but I am sure we are going to sit and see how to go about it. Is it going to be allowed, demolished, corrected, or whatever? It will be revisited, and what’s supposed to be done will be done.
There were a lot of things and this was a trap. All these things were not done in good faith or intention. It was brought with some bad intentions which every one of you here and our listeners are aware of.
Sometimes you come with things that are good and they turn out to be bad while sometimes you bring bad things and they turn out to be good. So, all I know is that I was not consulted as of now but definitely, we will come to discuss and see what should be done’ he said- Team@orientactualmags.comDo you have any information you wish to share with us?
