Osun Ifra Plan : Emphasis Placed On ‘Good Job’, ‘Deadline Requirements’ As Special Duties Commissioner Inspects Ongoing Projects In Osogbo, Ede
Osun state Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Bashir Tokunbo Salam on Thursday made an inspection visit to the Oke Fia – Old Garage – Lameco Junction road dualization project ditto other ongoing projects in the state that are under the infrastructure plan of the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration during which the need to meet deadline requirements and ensure ‘quality work’ was emphasized.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday noted that Dr. Salam , who led other officials from the state Ministry of Works, to the construction sites , urged the contractors handling the infrastructure projects to adhere strictly to project specifications and ensure timely completion, warning that the state government will not entertain any form of excuse.
‘I want the tempo of work to increase. The governor has made it clear that these projects must be completed within the stipulated time. We will be coming for regular inspection to ensure that there is no compromise on quality of materials being used and timely delivery. Governor Adeleke expects nothing less than a quality job and we must ensure that this is delivered’ Dr. Salam added.
The statement also noted that the team inspected the ongoing Oke Fia – Old Garage – Lameco Junction Road dualization project; Oke Fia overhead bridge project ; Osogbo – Iwo road dualization project; Oke Gada overhead bridge project in Ede; and the Akoda – Baptist High School road project, Ede.
The inspection team comprises Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr. Bashir I. Bello; the Director of Highway, Engr. Moruf Ojebode; the governor’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Evangelist.
