Eid-el-Fitr: Senator Lere Oyewumi Felicitates Nigerians, Urges Muslims Not To Abandon Ramadan Values, Lessons

The Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator  Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi PhD has congratulated Muslims  in the country on the completion of the fasting period while emphasizing the need to put the virtues of Islam into practice beyond the month of Ramadan.

He  also urged Muslims to project Islam through good examples of love, tolerance and peaceful disposition at all times, which ,he noted,  are prerequisites for protecting the perception of the religion from distortion.

Sen. Lere Oyewumi , who represents Osun West, in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com urged the Muslims to sustain Ramadan virtues and lessons and replicate the same in their daily lives for a better society while asking them not to be carried away by only the pageantry of the Sallah, but rather use it for sober reflection.

Oyewumi, who  emphasized  the importance of peace, unity and tolerance among Nigerians, urged everyone to extend hands of support to the needy around them as well as pray for the country and seek a divine solution to the current security and economic situation.

Sen. Oyewumi  , who also noted that he is very committed to the well-being and development of his constituents, praised them for their resilience and patience in the face of economic hardship.
