100-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Shoved By Son During Argument Over Money In Osun

A centenarian , Aminat Adejoju has died after being pushed by her son, Lukman Adejoju during an argument over money in Osun state.
Lukman Adejoju, who is 63 years old, will be facing manslaughter charges as he had since been arrested and taken into custody by the police.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the incident happened on Saturday , April 13 ,2024, in Kajola village, Apomu, Osun state.
Apparently, co-owners of the farmland, the centenarian and her son, Lukman had contracted someone to handle oil palm fruits and the palm oil production process and make the proceeds of sale available to them.
Trouble however began when the man in question came to inform them that he had sold some kegs of palm oil and wanted to deliver the money argument suddenly ensued over who should collect the ‘first batch’ of the proceeds of sale and in the process , Lukman shoved his mother who fell to the ground and died.
Spokesperson for the NSCDC, Osun state Command, Kehinde Adeleke, said Lukman was immediately arrested and taken to a police station in Apomu, while the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force in the state, Yemisi Opalola said the suspect had since been transferred to the command headquarters in Osogbo for further investigation.
‘They were both going to the farm when they disagreed. The suspect said he could not explain the spirit that possessed him. He admitted that he pushed the deceased woman who should be about 100 years old, and she fell to the ground and died.
