Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state has provided a 50KVA Solar Inverter for the Sobi Specialist Hospital, Ilorin to power most of the units at the health facility.
The governor has equally approved the installation of an additional 25KVA solar inverter mainly for uninterrupted service delivery at the maternity, accident, and emergency wards.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, who is the Executive Secretary of Kwara state Hospital Management Board, disclosed this after inspecting the solar system alongside the board’s management team.
He said the solar inverter is presently being tested and will bring much relief to both staff and the patients while adding that plans are also in progress to light up the entire Sobi Hospital premises.
Governor AbdulRazaq has also approved the provision of an alternative source of power supply in the form of solar inverter as recommended by the management team of the Kwara state Hospital Management Board so that all government hospitals can have 24-hour uninterrupted power supply in order to deliver good healthcare services to the patients.
Lafiagi, Kaiama, Patigi, Okuta, Ilesa-Baruba, Yashikira, and Sobi Specialist hospitals have been scheduled for installation of the solar inverters.
