Growing Season: Senator Saliu Mustapha Provides Fertilizers For Constituents

Farmers across the country have continued to put seeds in the soil and as they do so, Senator Salihu Mustapha has taken steps   to give those in the Kwara Central Senatorial district necessary supports that will make it easy for them to ‘fully’ earn the reward of the growing season.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the senator, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agricultural Production Services and Rural Development, has inaugurated a committee that will support smallholder farmers among his constituents through the provision of fertilisers .

The committee, which is headed by a former commissioner for Water Resources and a one-time chairman of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Kwara state chapter, Alh Adebayo Ahmed Ayodele, popularly called Omi, will ensure seamless distribution of fertilisers to genuine farmers across the four local governments in the senatorial district.

Speaking during the inauguration of the committee, the  Senator’s Legislative Assistant , Alh Abdulrahman Abdulkadir Tunde, said the provision of fertilizers to the beneficiaries is aimed at supporting genuine farmers across the senatorial district, adding that the committee would monitor and oversee the distribution of  the fertilisers.

The legislative aide therefore urged members of the committee to be transparent and upright in carrying out the assignment.
