Nicki Minaj Arrested In Netherlands For ‘Possessing Soft Drugs’…Manchester Show Postponed
Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, who is popularly called Nicki Minaj ,was arrested at Schiphol Airport, Netherlands and detained on Saturday.
41-year-old Minaj, was traveling to Manchester, England, from Amsterdam for a concert on her ‘Pink Friday 2 World Tour’ and she was scheduled to perform at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on Saturday night.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the show had since been postponed.
The rapper was held on suspicion of ‘possessing soft drugs’ , though she was later released but will have to pay a fine that will be determined by the public prosecution service, the Dutch police submitted on Saturday.
The Dutch force disclosed at about 9pm on Saturday that the suspect has been released ‘and she can now move on’.
A statement from the promoter of Co-op Live arena , Manchester , Live Nation, said: ‘Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible.
We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused’.
‘Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled concert’ the company added.
In footage recorded on Instagram Live, Minaj had denied that she was carrying any drugs but was however told that she needed to go to the police station.
