Alleged Tax Evasion: FIRS Files Lawsuit Against Wells Property Development Company
As part of the measures taken to strengthen tax compliance in the country, the Federal Government has filed a lawsuit against the Well Property Development Company Limited .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) filed the suit on behalf of the federal government, accusing the company of understating tax returns, making false declaration of earnings, and failing to deduct and remit taxes.
In the lawsuit in question, the Federal Republic of Nigeria is listed as complainant, while Wells Property Development Company Limited is joined with nine individuals as defendants.
Among other things, the company has been accused of offences including understating tax returns, and false declaration of earnings.
