Former Lagos Speaker Adeyemi Ikuforiji Acquitted Of Money Laundering Charges
Former Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Hon Adeyemi Ikuforiji , has been acquitted of money laundering charges ditto his former Personal Assistant, Oyebode Atoyebi.
Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had in March 2012 preferred charges against Adeyemi who was accused of laundering over N500 million as Speaker of Lagos state House of Assembly.
He was rearraigned in November 2019, and the amount of money involved got reduced to N338.8 million.
