How Late Ado Bayero’s Wife, Daughter Almost Got Evicted From Lagos Apartment…Why I Intervened-Kano Gov

Governor  Abba Yusuf  of Kano state  arrived in time to save  the daughter of late Emir of Kano , Alhaji Ado Bayero,  Zainab Jummai, her brother and her mother  from getting evicted from their apartment in Lagos state on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Dawakin Tofa,  disclosed in a statement he issued in Kano on Tuesday.

‘The governor’s aide,  Mr. Sanusi Dawakin Tofa  arrived in Lagos in the early hours of Tuesday, 25th June, 2024 , to meet with the General Manager of the apartment at Morning Side Suites, Victoria Inland where the late Ado Bayero family had lived since early this year.

The landlord, Mr. Sunel Kumar, vowed to evict them by 3pm on Tuesday. The governor’s intervention followed an outcry in the  media by Princess Zainab Bayero on behalf of her mother and brother who were allegedly neglected by the royal family after the death of the late Ado Bayero.

Zainab, her brother and her mother, have been facing difficult times since the demise of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero due to the denial of their inheritance and being abandoned by the royal family’ the statement said.

Receiving the representative of the governor, Mr Sanusi Dawakin Tofa , Hajia Zainab and her mother deeply appreciated the kind gesture of Governor  Abba Yusuf for  coming to their rescue and for arriving in time.

‘You came at the right time, we were about to be forcefully evicted from the facility for our inability to pay the rent, they said today is final, we must move out by 3:00 pm and you came just fifteen minutes to the time, they have already mobilized youths to evict us from the apartment, Alhamdulillah for your arrival’ Zainab said.

Also speaking, Sanusi Dawakin Tofa said the governor’s humanitarian intervention was due to the fact that many citizens of Kano had felt that the matter did not portray the royal family and Kano in a good light.

‘They are not only members of the Royal Family, they are our Muslim sisters and brothers, currently in need’ he said–Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
