SAN: LPPC Announces Names Of 98 Lawyers, Says ‘Selection Process’ Yet To Be Completed

 The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), has released the names of 98 lawyers who  have been shortlisted for appointment as Senior Advocates of Nigeria this year.

The Senior Advocate status is a recognition of excellence and one of the highest honours a solicitor can attain in the country.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court , who is also  the Secretary of LPPC, Hajo Bello, made the list of the prospective  Senior Advocates available to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.

It was however noted that the list was made public  in order that  members of the public can make comments on the integrity, competence, and reputation of the lawyers in question.

‘The general public is hereby invited to comment on the integrity, reputation, and competence of the listed Applicants.

For the avoidance of doubt, the publication of the names of the shortlisted Applicants is not an indication of their success in the process’ LPPC submitted while noting that every complaint must be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to by the author before a Superior Court of Record in the country or before a Notary public which must be in twenty copies.
