Police Inspector Asks Robbers To Help Him Steal Neigbour’s Car In Lokoja

A Police Inspector, Aminu Mohammed,  has been arrested and taken into custody in Lokoja , Kogi state after it was discovered that he was involved in the robbery incident that occurred near the police station that serves as his workplace

 He had actually asked armed robbers to rob  one of those who live near the police station and steal his car.

A policeman is expected to uphold law and order by detecting, preventing and investigating crimes, ‘If Gold Rusts, What Can Iron Do’, you would say.

Aminu was attached to the  ‘C’ Division , Lokoja, the Kogi  state capital.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned   that spokesman for the state police command, William Aya,  a Superintendent of Police, who disclosed on Tuesday that Aminu has been arrested and taken into custody, also noted that the robbers had not only stolen the car but had also taken it to the workshop of a panel beater ,who had gotten an auto paint technician who will change the colour of the car ready.

 ‘Luck ran out of the officer following the activities of a notorious gang of armed robbers who specialize in robbing houses  and taking away  household items and cars.

The car was found at the workshop of the policeman’s panel beater, Arome Moses, who was already working on how an auto paint technician will change the colour of the car at Ochadamu near Anyigba in the Eastern part of the state.

Those who knew the vehicle and were aware of the robbery incident that occurred at the owner’s house on 14th June, 2024, quickly raised the alarm upon seeing the car.

The car’s plate number had already been changed to an Abuja number while a car dealer’s receipt, backdated to 2020, was presented by the officer as his evidence of purchasing it.

His panel beater had primed the car preparatory to changing its colour before the alarm was raised’ he said

Aya  added that after raising the alarm, members of the Quick Response Unit attached to the Police Area Command were quickly invited, and the panel beater was apprehended.

One  of  the armed robbers, who had also been on the wanted list having been linked with other crimes, confessed to the crime and named the police officer as the mastermind.
