The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has submitted that holders of Higher National Diploma (HND), who fail to present evidence of undergoing the mandatory one-year Industrial Training will no longer be allowed to participate in the national programme
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Coordinator of NYSC in Lagos state, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa, said this while talking to journalists in Lagos on Saturday, she also disclosed that a circular had since been issued to this effect.
‘It has been noticed in recent times that some among those who attended polytechnics and monotechnics do not observe the mandatory one-year IT before going for the HND programme.
The one-year IT is a prerequisite for HND. They must undergo the one-year IT with evidence of completion before going for HND, and institutions must confirm this before admitting them for HND.
The directive will take effect from the next orientation camp, and we will not register any candidate who did not complete or undergo the process’ she said.
The NYSC top official added that this measure would promote the sanctity of Nigeria’s education system, prospective corps members, who are HND holders, she noted, will be required to present evidence of completion of the IT before being registered at NYSC orientation camps-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
