I Got Nominated As Federal High Court Judge Without Govt Backing- Justice Mabel Segun-Bello

Justice Mabel Segun-Bello  of the Federal High Court , has disclosed that she got nominated as federal high court judge without government backing  but rather through determination and hard work.

She however gave a hint that some others may have gotten nominated because they enjoyed government support.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the top jurist said this in Abuja  on Saturday while giving her speech during  the 2024 Clarity Conference,  which had as its theme ‘The Constellation: Gathering of Stars, By Stars and For Stars’.

 Justice Segun-Bello , who gave a  keynote speech at the event , disclosed that becoming  a federal high court judge was not easy but noted that determination is key to her success.

‘You may come from a poverty-stricken background. That is a powerful condition, but you must have the will to rise above it.

 If I tell you where I come from, two things will happen: you will either think I’m lying or start crying. And remember, I’m not just a state judge; I’m a federal judge. To become a federal judge, you need the backing of the presidency or support from a political party. I had neither. This goes to show that principles, when applied universally, can make anything possible’ she said.

 ‘We organized the Clarity Conference to guide young people from the ideation phase to implementation.
