President Tinubu Appoints Adeola Ajayi, Mohammed Mohammed As Heads Of DSS, NIA
President Bola Tinubu on Monday named Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
He succeeds Mr Yusuf Bichi, who was appointed as Director General of DSS by former President Muhammadu Buhari on September 14, 2018.
The president has also appointed Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA).
He succeeds Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar, who resigned from his position on Saturday.
Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, who is the governor of Kwara state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sent his hearty congratulations to the two new Director Generals on Monday calling them great professionals while also wishing the two new security chiefs successful tenures.
The governor in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye noted that choosing a seasoned diplomat, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, an indigene of Lafiagi, Kwara state, as head of the NIA opens another beautiful page in the history of the agency.
AbdulRazaq commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing the Kwara-born diplomat as the new NIA chief noting that he was until his appointment on Monday the head of the Nigerian mission to Sudan.
He also described the new DSS boss, Mr. Adeola Ajayi as a crack senior operative who has pulled through many sensitive operations, praising the decision to make him the head of DSS at this time.
