CP Victor Olaiya Assures Kwara Residents Of Safety Ahead Of LG Elections

Kwara state police chief, Mr. Victor Olaiya, a Commissioner of Police, has assured residents of Kwara State of safety ahead of the local government elections while disclosing that a strategic meeting was held in this respect by Heads of security agencies in the state on Wednesday.

Spokesperson for the state police command, Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, in a statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com on Thursday urged residents of the state to go out without fear of molestation and exercise their civic duty in the local government elections that will hold on Saturday, , September 21, 2024.

‘The Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya psc(+), assures Kwarans of maximum security ahead of the Local Government Elections scheduled  to hold on Saturday,  September 21, 2024. In a bid to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections, the command has made thorough security arrangements to guarantee a peaceful, free, and fair process across polling stations in the state.

A strategic meeting was held on Wednesday with Heads of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Airforce, Nigerian Navy, The DSS, NSCDC, FRSC, The Customs and Immigration Service, NCoS, The NDLEA and the Federal Fire Service to discuss coordinated efforts to maintain law and order before, during, and after the local government elections. This collaboration underscores the commitment of all security agencies to safeguarding the process and ensuring that the election is free from violence or intimidation in any form.

Residents are encouraged to exercise their civic duty with confidence, knowing that their safety is top priority. The combined forces of these agencies will be deployed across the state on the Election Day to ensure that lives and property are protected. 

We appeal to the good people of Kwara to remain calm, law-abiding, and cooperate fully with security personnel on duty.
