What Umiitta Told Me One Week Before Getting Stabbed To Death By Chinese Lover- Kano Popular Islamic Cleric

A  Kano-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, has disclosed that  Ummakulsum Buhari (Ummita) , who was stabbed to death by her boyfriend , Gheng Quanrong last week,  had a telephone conversation with him  one week before the incident.

He noted that the telephone conversation lasted for 15 minutes.

Daurawa said she had  called him seeking advice on the way forward after her parents had  rejected her plans to marry the Chinese immigrant.

 ‘I told her ‘your parents are right’. Don’t marry someone with questionable background’ he said.

The cleric, however, added that he gave her five conditions to be fulfilled  before marrying Gheng Quanrong  .

‘The first condition is to consult immigration service to ascertain whether he is a legal immigrant. Second, make background check on his employment in Nigeria. Third, I knew the Emir of Kano had turbaned the head of Chinese community in Kano. So ask the leader of the Chinese community whether they know him, the region he comes from and what he is doing.

Fourth, the embassy should also be informed that a Chinese is planning to marry a Nigerian. Fifth, I directed her to also inform Hisbah to teach him more about Islam, since she told me he had converted to Islam.

She further told me his relations in China had approved of the marriage, but her parents had rejected the proposal.

But I told her if you meets these five conditions, I will convince your parents to allow you marry him’ he said.

 Daurawa added that Islam allows interracial marriages and abhors racism.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Chinese man had felt incensed that the deceased was planning to dump him after investing a lot in the relationship.

It was said that he  dated Ummita for a very long time,  sponsored her  as a  University  student  in Uganda,  bought  a house for her family in Kano  and  got job for her  two  brothers.

Ummita reportedly got married to another man in December last year  but it was a short-lived  marriage because she had continued keeping in touch  with the Chinese guy through videos calls and others.

They however renewed talks about marriage plans after Umitta had divorced the man she got married to in December but suddenly the deceased stopped picking up his calls and the rest is history- Team@orientactualmags.com
