Stray Bullet Kills Young Woman In Ado Ekiti

A young woman,  Ifeoluwa Adekalu has died after being hit by a stray bullet  in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the incident happened near Okela Police Station on Thursday.

It was an unintended discharge and the  cop had  done this while celebrating the promotion of his colleague.

The victim  was said to be one of the owners of shops located  opposite the police station.

‘Adekalu  was passing by when the bullet hit her in front of a shop opposite the police station..

 She was returning from where she went to pay her accommodation rent’ a source submitted while another source also said ; ‘The woman had just alighted from a commercial motorbike  and was about entering  the police station when the incident happened. I do not know her mission, but she was going to the police station when the stray bullet hit her’.

She was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital but later gave up the ghost.

Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, AIG Adewale Adeniran, who has confirmed the incident, noted that the officer who fired the bullet , had since been taken into custody.

‘The officer in question has been disarmed and detained.
