Royal Sacrilege! Osun Monarch Hospitalized After Being Beaten By Angry Youths… Shun Violence, Self-help,Gov Adeleke Tells Citizens

The Ajeniju of Hallelujah, Egbedore local government, Osun State, Oba Jelili Olaiya had a close shave with death on Friday as young people in the town beat him up mercilessly.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the angry youths not only committed a sacrilege by attacking his palace but they also made Oba Olaiya get hospitalized.
Everything about Oba Jelil Olaiya has been a subject of controversy, beginning with his coronation by the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal a few months ago.
The community had opposed his emergence as Hallelujah monarch but despite this, he went ahead to appoint Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani as Chief Imam of Hallelujah and mandated him to lead the jumat prayer at his palace.
The Jumat prayer that was scheduled to be presided over by Ahmad Tijjani however ended in fiasco.
‘On 3rd January, 2025, a crisis broke out between the people of Ido-Osun and the palace of the Ajeniju of Hallelujah. The plans to appoint an imam at the palace faced strong opposition from the youths of Ido-Osun’ said a source.
Sources told Team@orientactualmags.comthat Oba Jelil Olaiya is currently receiving medical attention at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo and a sympathizer who had sought to visit him was informed that he was resting and will only start to receive visitors on Saturday evening.
In the meanwhile, Governor Ademola Adeleke has warned against violence while directing the security agencies to arrest those behind the dastardly acts.
The governor, who condemned the idea of people resorting to self- help especially the Ido Osun community, said he has directed the Commissioner of Police to secure the troubled areas and arrest the ringleaders of the violent actions.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Mallam Olawale Rasheed noted that the governor who has had telephone conversation with the Ajeniju of Hallelujah, has also directed the Olojudo of Ido Osun, Oba Olayinka Oyetunde Ishola to rein in the rampaging youths as the government enforces the law.
‘Apart from enforcing the law, I have further directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Dosu Babatunde to commence immediate peace-building and conflict de-escalation in collaboration with the security agencies.
Any community with grievances is free to approach relevant government agencies to table such for conflict resolution. We will not tolerate violence under whatever guise’ the governor warned-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
