2 Die While Repairing Diesel Tank In Lagos
Two factory workers have died while repairing a diesel tank in the Ikosi area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that they were trapped inside the tank on Saturday and efforts were made to rescue them, but they however died.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that they were rescued by officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Firefighters.
A top official of LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu disclosed in a statement that the incident occurred at about 10 am on Saturday.
Oke-Osanyintolu said the victims fell into the diesel tank while carrying out repair work.
He disclosed that preliminary investigations revealed that one of the victims accidentally fell into the diesel tank, while the second victim was also trapped in an attempt to rescue his colleague.
The LASEMA boss noted that the two victims were evacuated and taken to the hospital for medical attention.
 ‘The two male adults earlier rescued this morning by the LASEMA Response Team were resuscitated and taken to the hospital, unfortunately, despite all sustained medical efforts they later died.
