Man Soaks Wife With ‘Hot’ Cooking Oil During Fight In Ogun

Kazeem Sholola , a resident of Owode Egba, Obafemi Owode local government, Ogun State, has been arrested and taken into custody by the police.

He was arrested for soaking his wife, Mutiat Sholola with ‘hot’ cooking oil during fight. He also reportedly stabbed her.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement she issued in Abeokuta on Saturday.

The statement noted that a member of the community reported the incident at the police station on Saturday at about 12:20 pm, and the suspect was arrested immediately.

Mutiat, who sustained burns, is currently receiving medical treatment at Ore Ofé Hospital , Owode Egba.

‘The Divisional Police Officer in Owode Egba Division promptly intervened in a case of gender-based violence and assault against a housewife, leading to the arrest of her husband for inflicting injuries on her.

On January 18, 2025, at about 12:20 hours, the Divisional Police Officer received a report from members of the Ring Road community regarding an incident involving Sholola Kazeem, a male resident, and his wife, Sholola Mutiat.

It was reported that Kazeem, in uncontrollable anger over a misunderstanding, soaked his wife with hot cooking oil and also stabbed her in the head.

The victim was taken to Ore Ofé Hospital for medical attention, and the crime scene was examined.
