Unknown Gunmen Kill Delta Varsity Professor In Asaba
Professor Emeka Chukwuma, a lecturer at the Delta State University, Abraka, has been killed by unknown gunmen.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that 56-year-old Chukwuma was shot dead in Umueji , Asaba, on Friday night.
“Prof. Emeka Chukwuma was assassinated in Asaba on Friday night. He is a lecturer at the Delta State University, Abraka, Anwai campus but later returned to the Abraka campus after the conversion of Anwai campus to Dennis Osadebey University.
Prof Chukwuma usually comes home every weekend, it is unfortunate that he came back yesterday for his usual weekend and was assassinated at his residence in St. Bridges area of Umueji quarter, Asaba.
As we speak, Asaba is no longer safe, we are confused over the situation’ a resident of the area was quoted as saying.
Spokesman for Delta State police command SP Bright Edafe who has reportedly confirmed the incident, noted that an investigation into the incident had since begun.
