Police Impose Predawn Hours Curfew In Gombe, Cite Safety Fears

Gombe State Police Command on Thursday announced the imposition of predawn hours curfew in the state, citing safety fears.
Residents of the state have been told to stay in their houses from 12am to 5am, effective from February 7, 2025.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state Police command, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement he issued on Thursday.
‘Intelligence reports available to the Gombe State Police Command pointed to rising threats to the safety and security of the citizens of the state.
The Command has resolved to curb the menace of these threats, and it has therefore placed restrictions on movements between the hours of 12am and 5am starting from February 7, 2025.
The Command prioritizes the safety and security of the citizens and urges members of the public to cooperate with the police in making the state a safe place to thrive’ Abdullahi said.
The state police command urged parents and guardians to caution their wards, noting that violations of the restriction of movement order will not be tolerated.
