Ramadan: Saraki Urges Selflessness, National Unity

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the start of the holy month of Ramadan while urging them to embrace and manifest the lessons of Islam in this holy month.
Dr Saraki, in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Mr Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, admonished the Muslim Ummah to observe the holy month with conscious acts of compassion, piety, kindness and generosity, especially towards the less privileged.
The former Senate President, who is the Waziri of Ilorin, noted that the holy month of Ramadan should not be spent only on fasting, but rather be made to serve as a time to bond with God through prayers and supplications.
While urging Nigerians to strive towards making Nigeria a better country, the PDP bigwig also prayed for abundance, peace and prosperity in the country.
‘As we settle into the solemn spiritual activities of the Holy Month of Ramadan, let us embrace the deeper lessons of Islam—compassion, generosity, and love for one another.
In all our doings, may we reflect kindness and extend a helping hand to those in need, for it is in lifting others that we honour the true spirit of this Holy Month.
Beyond abstaining from food and drink from dawn to dusk, let us use this time to strengthen our connection with Almighty Allah (SWT) through prayers and supplications.
May we open our hearts to the less fortunate, uphold the values of patience and humility, and strive for a society built on justice and unity.
As we do so, I pray that the Almighty blesses us abundantly and grants peace and prosperity to the Federal Republic of Nigeria’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
