Kebbi APC Passes Vote Of Confidence In President Tinubu, Gov Idris…Suspends Special Adviser Who Caused Stir At Govt House

Kebbi State APC has reaffirmed its confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris while commending them for delivering democratic dividends to the people.
The party leaders during the stakeholder meeting held in Birni Kebbi at the weekend unanimously endorsed and reaffirmed support for the President Bola Tinubu administration and the Governor Nasir Idris administration, acknowledging the commitment of the president and the governor to good governance.
Speaking to journalists after the closed-door meeting, Governor Idris expressed satisfaction with the progress of his administration and that of President Bola Tinubu.
‘The forum unanimously reaffirmed support for President Tinubu and me to continue our developmental strides. We have also agreed to hold such meetings every two to three months to assess the party and government performance’ he said.
The governor also noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to evaluate government actions and ensure alignment with the party’s vision.
‘The overwhelming verdict from stakeholders is a vote of excellence for both the state and federal administrations. I remain committed to delivering quality governance and improving the welfare of our people’ he added.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that during the stakeholder meeting, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru announced the suspension of Governor Nasir’s Special Adviser on Power and Politics, Alhaji Kabir Sani Giant from the party, citing misconduct.
The state APC had in a statement issued on Saturday by its Secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad Kimba, on behalf of Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Kana Zuru noted that the suspension is with immediate effect.
‘The State Working Committee (SWC) has suspended you from the party pending further investigation and disciplinary action due to conduct likely to embarrass and bring the party into disrepute, as you admitted before the investigation committee’ Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad Kimba said..
The party noted that Alhaji Kabir Sani Giant was suspended because he allegedly took a snake to the Government House, Birni Kebbi on February 8, 2025, and this had caused a stir.
‘This act was deemed offensive, embarrassing, and a violation of Article 21 (2)(ii) of the APC Constitution.
