Gunmen Kill Businessman After Observing Taraweeh Prayer In Ondo
A businessman, Ismaila Awoyinka, has been killed by unknown gunmen in Ore, Odigbo Local Government, Ondo State.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Ismaila, who sells building materials, was reportedly killed at his residence opposite Caring Heart Mega School, Idi Mango area of Ore, on Saturday evening.
He was sadly killed shortly after leaving the mosque where he had gone to observe Taraweeh prayer .
Taraweeh is the night prayer performed during Ramadan which is called ‘asamu’ in Yorubaland.
‘He was assassinated shortly after leaving the mosque after Taraweeh prayer, very close to his house, at about 8:35 p.m. on Saturday. After he left the mosque, some people who wore white attires alighted from a motorcycle and stayed around the place.
As he was about to enter his house, they ambushed him and shot him. He was shot at close range, and he died on the spot’ a source said.
Spokesperson for Ondo State police command, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who has confirmed Ismaila’s death, added that an investigation had since been launched into the incident
