Niger CP Orders DPO To Produce Drunk Policeman Who Shot Man Dead While Sleeping

The police have launched an investigation into the incident that occurred in Angwan-Kaje, Chanchaga Local Government, Niger State on Monday during which a drunk policeman suddenly went on a shooting spree and in the process shot a man, Sani, who was sleeping, dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the state police chief, Shuwala Danmamman, a Commissioner of Police, has directed the Divisional Police Officer of Maitumbi to produce the cop in question without delay.
The drunk policeman, attached to the Maitumbi Police Station, was said to have suddenly carried his gun and began to fire bullets.
‘The officer shot Sani while he was sleeping. He also attempted to shoot Mai Shayi, but he ran away. Bullet shells were found at the scene’ an eyewitness said.
Spokesman for Niger State Police Command, Mr Wasiu Abiodun, said the Commissioner of Police has ordered a full-scale investigation into the incident and assured that the cop involved would be brought to justice.
‘The command received the complaint of the alleged shooting, which occurred at about 3 am on March 10, 2025, at Angwan-Kaje, Maitumbi, Minna.
The Commissioner of Police has directed the DPO Maitumbi to investigate and identify the officer responsible for the act for further necessary action.
