Why I Can’t Leave PDP For SDP…El-Rufai Playing ‘Grievance Politics’-Sule Lamido

Former governor of Jigawa State, who is a PDP bigwig, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has submitted that he will not attach importance to the statement made by former governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai last week.
Recall that El-rufai , who has chosen SDP as his new party, had urged opposition leaders in the country to join the party.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Lamido, who reacted to this in an interview with BBC Hausa service on Sunday, described the invitation as an insult noting that the PDP had served as a platform for El-Rufai to build his political career.
‘The party we formed, the PDP, is the one that gave birth to El-Rufai. You’re not enough to make us leave the PDP.
He once said that there are no adults in Nigerian politics, but now he is calling on us to join him in the SDP’ he said.
Lamido also noted that El-rufai had no plausible reasons to leave APC for SDP.
‘He said he told President Buhari about his decision to leave the APC, but now he is saying that he is one of the adults in Nigerian politics.
If I was going to leave the PDP, I would have done so in 2014 when the APC was formed’ the former Jigawa State governor submitted while adding that El-Rufai is playing ‘grievance politics’.
‘Leadership is done with patience and vision, and doing things for the peace of the followers and the country as a whole.
What should be done is to put patriotism first, instead of showing anger towards someone.
The PDP has been working to rebuild its strength after losing the 2015 presidential election’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
