Gov Idris Gives Kebbi LG Chairmen Thumbs Up

Chairmen and councilors in the 21 Local Governments in Kebbi State have gotten the thumbs up from the state governor, Comrade, Dr. Nasir Idris.

 He has commended them for their commendable performance and dedication to grassroots development.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that he did this while talking  to journalists after a consultative meeting with the Local Government chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and the 225 Councillors at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, on Sunday.

Governor Idris described  local government as vital partner in progress and urged the chairmen and Councillors to continue to align with the vision of the APC-led administration in delivering good governance at the grassroots level.

‘I am impressed with their performance. The chairmen have shown unwavering loyalty and support for my administration.

 They are the people’s choice, and the era of hand-picking candidates is over. Along with their Councillors, they have effectively steered the affairs of their respective  local governments’ he said.

The governor noted that the meeting was held to engage with the local government officials in order that they can better understand challenges at the grassroots level  and formulate effective responses.

‘Such engagements will help us address key issues and fast-track development. My administration is committed to ensuring continued consultation with stakeholders to enhance the socioeconomic wellbeing of our people’ he added.

Governor Idris also noted that the Chairmen and Councillors have reaffirmed their confidence in his administration and commended the leadership style that has fostered good governance in the state.

Leading the delegation was the State ALGON Chairman ,who is also the chairman of  Birnin Kebbi LG, Alhaji Muhammad Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa.

He told journalists that the meeting was crucial as it will help to enhance rural development.

‘Comrade Nasir Idris is the most compassionate and benevolent leader since the creation of Kebbi State. 

He has positively transformed the lives of our people. We appreciate his leadership and reaffirm our loyalty and support to his administration’ he said.
