Osun APC Mourns Azeez Akinleye’s Passing
Osun State APC has commiserated with the biological and political families and friends of the former Chairman of Isokan Local Government, Alhaji Azeez Akinleye, over his passing, describing this as one death, too many.
Alhaji Akinleye, who also served as commissioner, Osun State Civil Service Commission during the Gboyega Oyetola administration, died on Friday, 18th of April, 2025, at a private Hospital in Okebaale area of Osogbo, the state capital.
The state APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi described Alhaji Akinleye’s death as tragic and shocking.
Lawal described the deceased politician as one of the pillars of the APC in the state noting that he was always ready to render his unconditional support for the advancement of the party, the APC chieftain’s death, he added, was a colossal loss to the party as the vacuum it leaves behind would be difficult to fill.
‘The announcement of the death of Alhaji Azeez Akinleye who was an active political associate in the concerted efforts to entrench good governance in Osun State was unbelievable and it is my wish that it remains within the realm of a dream.
When I remember that all mortals are indebted to death which would happen at the whims and caprices of God Almighty, I have to thank God for the eventful life of Alhaji Akinleye who contributed his quota in the political parlance to uplift his community and the state.
We appreciate what it had pleased God to make him as a potent agent to change this world better than the way he met it.
On behalf of my family and the entire members of the APC in Osun State, I am commiserating with the biological and political families of the deceased politician over the loss of their loved one.
