2026 Osun Guber: Olorunda LG APC Chieftains, Members Declare Support For Oyebamiji 

As part of their commitment to ensuring seamless emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as Osun State APC gubernatorial candidate, chieftains and members of the party in Olorunda local government on Friday declared support for him and also inaugurated a campaign organization to actualize the lofty initiative and ensure am all- round victory for the guber aspirant.

Gubernatorial election will hold in the state next year.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the newly inaugurated campaign organization comprises independent promoters, grassroots mobilizers and canvassers, who are tasked with ensuring adequate, efficient and effective spread of Oyebamiji’s gospel across Olorunda local government and beyond.

The party stalwarts justified their strong position on the choice of Oyebamiji, who is popularly called AMBO, while describing him as the most suitable aspirant that can lead the party to victory in 2026.

Recall that Oyebamiji had in the last few days engaged with some of the party leaders, stakeholders and chieftains of the party to inform them of his political ambition and note that they are ‘valued partners’ in this journey.

 

Inaugurating the Campaign Organization called, ‘Olorunda Chapter of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji Campaign Organization’, at a meeting in Osogbo, the convener, Evangelist Rasaki Adeosun described the initiative as a child of necessity.

Adeosun ,who served as  Oyetola’s Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs during his governorship, declared their readiness to work diligently with relevant stakeholders in the party, and beyond in order to take the initiative to fruition and actualize Oyebamiji’s emergence as guber candidate.

He acknowledged the socioeconomic and political antecedents as well as the inimitable qualities of Oyebamiji who is the current Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, saying his wealth of experience would be brought to bear to advance the cause of the state if elected as governor.

According to him, the  guber aspirant who is a trusted financial engineer, has the potential to grow the economy of Osun State and supervise equitable spread of development to every section of the state. 

Adeosun noted that he was delighted that Olorunda people accepted Oyebamiji from the bottom of their heart saying, ‘it is an indication that his ,(Oyebamiji )’s antecedents in governance were satisfactory’.

In their separate remarks, former Olorunda State Constituency lawmakers, Hon. Kunle Akande; Hon. Waseeu Adebayo; Olorunda Local Government Chairman, Hon. Kunle Kudaisi; Osun Central Senatorial District APC Woman Leader, Mrs. Muslimat Ibrahim; Vice Chairman, Olorunda North LCDA, Hon. Shakirat Adeoye among other leaders of the party  declared support for  Oyebamiji while expressing their total commitment to ensuring his emergence as the party’s guber candidate and his victory in the main governorship election in 2026.
