Salome Kisira Foundation To Hold Empowerment Prog In Baruten LG May 17… Women, Young People Among Expected Beneficiaries

The Barrister Salome Bake Kisira Foundation will on Saturday, May 17,2025, hold an empowerment programme that will have vulnerable people in Baruten local government as beneficiaries.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the Foundation’s Secretary, Mr Abdulmajeed Adamu noted that the programme is designed to complement and support the poverty alleviation efforts of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is the governor of Kwara State and the  Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).

‘ The empowerment programme intends to cover various communities across  Baruten Local Government with direct support to farmers and less-privileged individuals.

 This is a follow-up to the Foundation’s recent cash empowerment held a few months ago,  which focused on aged women in Baruten LGA.

The Barrister Salome Bake Kisira Foundation is thrilled to announce its upcoming Empowerment Programme with farmers, the aged, and the less privileged in Baruten Local Government, Kwara State as beneficiaries. This initiative is a continuation of the Foundation’s deep-rooted commitment to uplifting vulnerable and less-privileged populations and contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the state.

This second phase of the empowerment programne is designed in due honor to complement and support the efforts of the Kwara State Government under Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq’s leadership.

Governor  Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq CON has consistently demonstrated unwavering dedication to improving the lives of the people—especially the most vulnerable.

Importantly, this new empowerment effort is built on the success of the Foundation’s recent outreach held just a few months ago, which was specially dedicated to aged women across all political wards in Baruten Local Government . That event, held in memory of the father of the founder of the Foundation , served as a strong demonstration of the Foundation’s dedication to touching lives. The current initiative stands as a continuity of that good work,  broadening its reach to other set of people across Baruten local government.

The Foundation was established by Barrister Salome Bake Kisira, who is well known across Baruten LG and other parts of Kwara State for her philanthropic gesture and great commitment to supporting women and farmers.

Salome  is the daughter of late Elder Peter Kisira, former Deputy Governor of Kwara State and she has remained focused on giving back to society in honour of her late father’s legacy. The late Elder Kisira was known for his selfless service and dedication to grassroots development during his lifetime.

The empowerment event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 17th May 2025, in Kosubosu, headquarters of Baruten Local Government, at 10:00 am.
