2026 Guber: Party Elders Not Allowed To ‘Coordinate’ For Guber Aspirants -Osun APC

 Osun State APC on Friday restated its directive prohibiting certain categories of leaders of the party from serving as coordinators for the party’s governorship aspirants.

The party noted that about six aspirants have begun consultation efforts across the state despite the fact that the leadership of the party is yet to come up with a guideline for the upcoming governorship primary election.

The foot soldiers and supporters have started canvassing for their respective aspirants with fanfare.

Recall that party officials at the local government and ward levels in the state were warned against making themselves available as ‘coordinators’ for anyone among the guber aspirants a few days ago.

The state APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal had noted that this directive was issued during the meeting held at the state APC secretariat along Osogbo-Gbongan road, Ogo-Oluwa area of Osogbo which was attended by stakeholders in the party.

The state Secretary of the party, Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru in a statement he issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  on Friday noted that the state leadership of the party has also added ‘elders’ and ‘apex leaders’ at all the levels of the party to those who are disallowed from coordinating for the governorship aspirants in the interest of perpetual peace in the party.

‘The affected office holders are prevailed upon not to handle this directive with levity as the state leadership of the party would not hesitate to wield the big stick against any recalcitrant titled member of the party who violates the directive.

The state leadership of the party will also like to remind the governorship aspirants that it would be imperative for them to whip their supporters and foot soldiers into line and educate them on the need not to engage in the campaign of calumny, antagonism and hostility with the resultant effect of unnecessarily heating up the polity.

All the stakeholders in the party should always remember the fact that we are members of the same political family who should contribute our own quota towards the collective mission of sending Governor Ademola Adeleke packing through the 2026 governorship election.

It is important for us to deploy our energy and salvos towards the task of sending Governor Adeleke back to Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America through constitutional means of working assiduously for the party.

We should all remember that whoever emerges as the governorship candidate of our party would equally need the input and cooperation of others to be the next landlord of Bola Ige House.
