Former Defence Minister’s Husband, Babatunde Obada, Dies In Lagos…Rep Sanya Omirin Offers Condolences

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NeGSt Global Integrated Company Limited. Otunba (Dr) Felix Babatunde Obada, is dead.

The late (Dr) Felix Babatunde Obada died in Lagos on Thursday at the age of 73.

He was born on December 23, 1952.

His wife, Erelu Olusola Obada, an indigene of Ilesa, at different times, served as Deputy Governor of Osun State, Minister of State for Defence and Minister for Defence.

Representative of Ijesha South federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep Sanya Omirin has offered his condolences.

 In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Thursday, Rep Sanya Omirin noted that Dr Babatunde Obada’s passing is a significant loss not only to the Obada family but also to the federal constituency.

‘On behalf of myself  and the good people of Ijesha South Federal Constituency, I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Her Excellency, Erelu Olusola Obada on the passing of her beloved husband, Otunba Obada, who departed at the age of 73 after a short illness.

As a respected stateswoman, former Deputy Governor of Osun State and Minister of State for Defence, her husband, Otunba Babatunde’s passing is a significant loss not only to the Obada family but also to our constituency.

May Almighty God grant him eternal rest, and may the family find peace, comfort, and strength during this difficult time. May the memories of the deceased loving father bring smiles and cherished moments.

May they find solace in the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from friends, family, and well-wishers.
