Media Reports Untrue, No Nigerian Has Gone On Pilgrimage To Israel This Month-NCPC
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has described media reports claiming that some Christians in the country have gone on pilgrimage to Israel as ‘untrue’ noting that no one will visit the country in question until the Israel/Iran conflict is resolved.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the NCPC made this clarification in a statement issued in Abuja by its Deputy Director, Mr Celestine Toruka, and Head of Media and Public Relations on Tuesday.
The statement noted that the Executive Secretary of the commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite clarified and asserted that Nigerian Christian pilgrims are not in Israel as those who performed the 2024 main pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan, had returned to the country in March 2025.
‘Given the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, which escalated on June 13, no Christian pilgrimage will occur in Israel until the crisis is resolved.
