30-Year-Old Man Arrested For Stabbing Friend To Death During Argument In Kebbi

30-year-old Bello Amakwa has been arrested for stabbing Auwal Umaru to death during an argument in Birni Kebbi, Kebbi State.

Auwal, an indigene of Katami village, Silami Local Government, Sokoto State, was met in the pool of his blood at the Central market, Birnin Kebbi during the weekend.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for Kebbi State police command, Nafi’u Abubakar,, who disclosed this in a statement he issued in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, added that Bello had since been arrested and taken into custody while noting that the incident occurred on July 21 at 8am.

 ‘Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Central Market, mobilised a team of policemen and vigilantes to the scene of the incident and they took the victim to Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital, Birnin Kebbi, where a medical practitioner declared him a brought- in- dead patient.

Following a credible lead, one Bello Amakwa, 30, of Birnin Kebbi was arrested in connection with the case.

In the course of preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to stabbing the deceased person with a knife in the neck as a result of a mere argument at about 2:30 a.m’ the statement added.

The statement noted that the state Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani has urged young people in the state not to resort to self-help when aggrieved, but to rather seek redress through appropriate channels.
